Revell have produced a range of F1 cars over the last few years and whilst not on the same level as Tamiyas 1/20th scale offerings they make a welcome alternative to the £100+ resin kits that are the only other option.
Having built a few of these models in the past I knew what to expect from this kit. Whilst the detail and accuracy of this kit is reasonable the breakdown and fit of the parts leaves something to be desired. Experience has taught me to deviate from the instructions and construct the kit in a slightly different manner.

As you can see from this picture I have also acquired some aftermarket tobacco sponsorship decals, that are missing from the kit, and I'm taking the opportunity to try out one of zero paints range of custom car colours. This is a new (well to me anyway) range of paints that have been getting good reviews.
Construction to begin soon.......
